25 June, 2006 On 20-23 June, 2006 the III Assembly and the port back election conference of the Eurasian Quality Assurance Network (EAQAN) was held in Bishkek (Kirghizia).

On 25-26 May, 2007 the 2007 CEEN Workshop and Steering Committee meeting - "European Standards and Guidelines in the Eastern European Context: after London" was held in Saint-Petersburg (Russia). The workshop was organized by the Central and Eastern European Network of Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education - CEENET and hosted by the National Accreditation Agency of the Russian Federation and the Federal Service of Supervision in Education and Science.
44 delegates from 16 European states (Austria, Bulgaria, UK, Hungary, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Finland, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia and Russia) participated in the workshop, including the representatives of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) - Peter Williams, Emmi Helle; Central and Eastern European Network of Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (CEENET) - Pavol Navrat, Christina Rozsnyai; Eurasian Quality Assurance Network (EAQAN) - Tiit Laasberg, Hillar Bauman (Estonian Higher Education Accreditation Center), Dr. Juris Dzelme (Higher Education Quality Evaluation Centre of Latvia), Prof. Vladimir Navodnov (National Accreditation Agency of the Russian Federation). http://www.nica.ru/ceenet.workshop.


25 June, 2006 On 20-23 June, 2006 the III Assembly and the port back election conference of the Eurasian Quality Assurance Network (EAQAN) was held in Bishkek (Kirghizia). The representatives from Kazakhstan, Kirghizia, Estonia and Russia participated in the conference. The members of the Network summed up the results of their work, held the elections of the Steering Committee (mutually agreed to remain unchanged), discussed the issues of closer cooperation between the Commonwealth states and the Baltic states in the field of quality assurance and set the action plan for 2007/2008. The IV Assembly of the EAQAN will be held in May, 2007 in St. Petersburg.


The International Conference, devoted to the questions of quality assessment development in the system of higher education of the Independent States of Commonwealth and the Baltic States was held in Moscow, on October 6-7, 2005. More


The National Accreditation Agency (Russia) is honored to congratulate Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Moldova and the Ukraine with their joining the signatory countries of the Bologna process. We do hope that this important event will favor the development of quality assurance system in higher education within the bounds of the Bologna Declaration.

On May 30 - June 1, 2005 the representatives of the National Accreditation Agency were participating as observers in the accreditation procedures in the Tallinn State University and Private University Audentes (Tallinn, Estonia). More


The Central and Eastern European Network of Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (CEENET) organized a workshop devoted to the theme: "Mapping External Quality Assurance in Central and Eastern Europe: comparative analysis". The workshop was held in Poznan (Poland), on May 28, 2005. More


The International conference "Harmonization of Higher Education System of Valuation and Quality in the Countries of Baltic and CIS" was held in Alma-Ata on the basis of the Kazakhsky National Pedagogical University named after Abaij, on October 28-29, 2004.

The heads of the education management bodies and accreditation bodies of the Russian Federation, the republic of Kazakhstan, Kirghizia and Estonia, as well as the heads and faculty of Kazakhstan institutions took part in the conference.

The participants of the conference agreed to create the Eurasian Education Quality Assurance Network (EAQAN). More
